yoyoZEEKIO Flare

Working with yoyoZEEKIO over the years has been a tremendous joy. I remember when the yoyoZEEKIO Tempest came out, I really enjoyed it. Sure, it had it’s issues but I really wouldn’t change anything about it. Even now, even if I could. Back then I could not even have imagined where the yo-yo design world would be today.

The yoyoZEEKIO flare represents how far yoyoZEEKIO, and the rest of the yo-yo manufacturing world, has come.

Delrin plastic is no newcomer to the yo-yo scene. But it remains a quiet hero among the various materials we all have come to know and love. First off, let me list the downsides of Delrin:
1) It isn’t balanced. Yes, it is.
2) It’s ugly No, it isn’t.
3) Its expensive. No, it isn’t.
4) It isn’t durable. Yes, it is.

Glad to get that off my chest.

Really though, where did the flare come from? With each release, we try our best to learn something. We know that if we’re excited about a project, the community will feel that excitment and it always bleeds through in the final product. The flare is a combination of the Zenith and the Volt. Both extremely popular models. The Volt was a bimetal design that didn’t tank your wallet. The zenith was an extremely low cost delrin yoyo that played as good as your metals. Now you see, when two yoyos love each other very much. They get together and make a baby The Flare! The flare has both aluminum and stainless steel weight rings for optimum distribution, balance, and stability. But because its delrin, it’s an affordable yoyo that plays with the best of them,

Width(mm): 44
Gap width(mm):4.76
Price: $32.99

The worst part about the flare is that you won’t want to play with your other yo-yos. You will, don’t worry, but I doubt things will ever be the same for you.

Do you know that feeling you get when you’ve come across something wonderful and all you want to do is share it with as many people as possible? That’s how we felt about the flare, so the first order of business was to send some to our team. Here is what they had to say about it.

“The Flare is the next level of plastic yo-yos. It set a bar and it set it high.”
-Sean Collins

“The Flare is hands down my favorite Delrin yoyo of all time, it can handle anything I throw at it, its super stable and it just looks great”
-Christopher Chunn

“Fast and stable. Really Stable. I was initially concerned about durability but after hitting hardwood floor a few times, I;m convinced this yoyo will hold up to the worst I can offer”
-Waylon Crase

“You guys killed it with this thing, it beats out most of my metals, all of my delrin yoyos I’ve ever played and every hybrid and even some of the bimetals too.”

I ordered mine last week, I can’t wait to play with it. Most of my favorite yo-yos are delrin, including my most recent throw, The IOU.

Just got a Flare, wow is it a great throw. Powerful spin, stable, no vibe, smooth grinds, looks great and plays great… I don’t know how they made it look and feel so high end for such a low price. The Flare deserves to be a popular yoyo. I’d definitely like to see Zeekio make more delrin with weight ring yoyos.
