Monkeyfinger and King Yo Star Collaborate on Silverback King!

Introducing the Silverback King!

MonkeyfingeR Design and King Yo Star worked through 4 stages of prototypes honing this design to create an off-string yo-yo intended to bridges the gap between the ideal throw for learning, and a competition throw.  Crafted out of Delrin, it was extensively tested (i.e. bashed around) on every surface they could find.

This 4a design is intended for beginner play all the way to the professional player.

The Silverback King comes with a 10-ball grooved bearing installed, and a flat 8-ball bearing as an option, so you can customize your throw to meet your style.  It also includes a throw glove, spare pads, 3 stickers and 2 custom MFD Ape Hangar strings.

Diameter:  77mm
Width:       60mm
Weight:     81g

The SBK comes in 3 colours, White, Blue and Orange.

The release of this throw will be accompanied by videos and multiple social media platforms from the combined teams of both KYS and MFD, as well as a series of 52 AMAZING tutorials teaching 4a tricks by the Western Canadian 4a Champion Mr. Yoyothrower.

The price will be $49.99 looks forward to the release in coming weeks and will report back with a comprehensive review.  So far, based on the info above and the pictures, we are impressed.

Skill Toy Network used to be YoyoSkills. From 2008 to 2014 YoYoSkills had multiple contributors. Many are combined into this yoyoskills account.

So, is this thing compatible with Monkey Snot flowable silicone, or is that stuff only reserved for string trick yo-yos?

Hi Alex yes you can use SNOT. Silicone and plastic dont stick the greatest so thats why we went with some pads on this one. During testing some were good and some did last as long as we had hoped.
