OneDrop Retires the M1

After a 10 month run and changing the way the world looked at entry level metals, the M1 by OneDrop is being retired.

From Shawn at OneDrop:

We have new projects, and only so many machines.  We are really excited by what we have coming up for the Yo-Yo Community, including some things that will excite you!

To celebrate, OneDrop is liquidating their remaining M1’s for $45. No better time to get an M1 than right now!

    Maybe there will be an M2? or a plastic considering Shawn mentioned stuff about SHOCKing or that could mean cool ano jobs requiring electricity maybe…

    @Sam B

    Anodizing already uses electricity to dye aluminum. I agree, I think it’s going to be a M1 successor.

    Err, the electricity doesn’t actually ‘dye’ the aluminum. It oxidizes the material in a way that makes it porous. I doubt there will be an ‘M2′ exactly, considering M1 stood for ‘Metal for everyone’, but I’m sure Shawn has plenty in store for us.

    Aww… this stinks. But then I can’t wait to try the new OneDrop metals at Nats.
