I’m sorry, i’m sure it’s technical and all that, but i have to say that that was kinda boring :(.

Just watching the snap start, and him just going up….and down…it was like watching someone just playing with an Imperial in the same way. Up…….and down….up…..and down….up….and…

It’s not really technical, it’s just hard. Keeping a top going like that is pretty tricky to get the hang of, let alone snap starting it. I agree though, it’s 3 minutes of the same thing :P

Regardless, chris is fun to watch, ever seen the duncan vids?

Sweetness! Chris is killing it–he makes it look easy, but I assure you it aint. Perhaps it’s a bit more fun to watch if you play–give it a try!

I felt the same way when I first saw Bazan and Gates do spintop stuff; WOW, and yet, YAWN. Common reaction for those that yo, the pace of tricks is just entirely different. I’ll tell ya though, once you learn regenerations (the up and down referred to), it’s the best feeling ever. The only time I’ve felt like that yo-yoing was when I first learned 2A. It’s like bustin’ through a wall you’ve been banging at for years.

Well, it’s not so much the pace that’s making me yawn, its the variety or lack-of.

However I do agree that it would feel SUPER GOOD doing that, something about it rolling down the string and scooping it back up.

Forgot to say - thanks for posting, Dr. Yo-Yo, and I hope your dog is O.K. :)
