ENEME by YoYoJam Coming

Published by:

That’s right folks, I’m dropping a new yoyo at worlds – the ENEME, I CAD’ed this one myself and went underground to have this prototyped, then mixed it up, collaborated with YoYoJAM and now we have what I would consider a metal yoyo by YoYoJAM, DESIGNED FOR THE PLAYER… BY THE PLAYER…

Their will be approximately 100 of the ENEME’s (OR LESS) available at worlds at our booth, I’ve stacked this with some really “interesting” things too… ;) photos are under wraps… but see me at worlds or stop by the YYJ booth to take it for a spin…

Think… over-tweaked metal Xconvict for sick play…

1) Pricing is being worked up today – I can let you know as soon as I know.
2) Weight is about 64 grams
3) Diameter is about 1.99″
4) The worlds addition will be available in RAW aluminum I believe with a clear coat, after that there will be colors only. The ENƎME will be a continuously produced yoyo, based on demand.

This is a long post, and I plan on adding to it as I get more info, so get your scroll button ready

Top Ten Innovations That Changed Yo-Yoing

Published by:

How did we go from this:

To this:

The yo-yo is the second oldest toy in the world with a documented history that dates back to 500bc.  To a novice eye, the yo-yo has changed very little. Two discs and a string, what’s to change? To Yo-Yo professionals and enthusiasts such as myself, that statement could not be further from the truth. A Lot has changed.  This is not your daddy’s yo-yo. YoYoSkills.com present the “Top Ten Innovations That Changed Yo-Yo’s”, a retrospective, opinionated look at the physical changes to the worlds second oldest toy.

REVIEW – YoYoJam – Jamboo

Published by:

Introductions

Bamboo is the fastest growing wooded grass in the world.  In certain environments, bamboo can grown 3-5 feet a day.  Bamboo is used in medicine, weaponry, construction, storage, shelter, and even food.  For a long time, certain religious cultures in the South East Asia countries believed that life began with bamboo. Bamboo can thrive in nearly any environment, and has a life cycle in ranging from just a few months to what some speculate being hundreds of thousands of years.  Bamboo can be processed in large quantities with little to zero impact to environments, and molded, pressed, and dried into a sturdy material used when a light weight wood is called for.  It would make sense for bamboo, a unique, multi-useful, lightweight, sturdy, inexpensive material, to be ideal in yo-yo manufacturing wouldn’t it?  Well?

Head 2 Head – Plastic Grind Machine VS Legacy

Published by:

Introductions

Somewhere along the line, the Yo-Yo industry went from a market flooded with plastic yo-yo’s and a few select High End Metals, to a market Flooded with High End Metals and Plastics.  This does not make choosing a yo-yo any easier.
Currently, the $ 20-40 plastic market, also known as High End Plastic, does not have that many entries.  The Velocity has already proven it’s staying power, the FHZ is a classic, and YoYoJams HG series was a fan favorite before the cost of production shot up.  We have Two new entries into this market though.  The YoYoFactory Grind Machine, and the YoYoJam Legacy.
